Batch scrap – OW

Scrap prepared to an acceptable shape, dimension, weight and impurities so that it can be used economically and safely as a raw material in the steel melting process.

Batch scrap grades:

• OWK>4 – Piece scrap with a thickness of min. 4 mm, max. dimension: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, piece weight: max. 300 kg, Impurities (not separable): up to 1.5%
• OWK>10 – złom kawałkowy o grubości min. 10 mm, wymiar max: 1,5 x 0,5 x 0,5 m, ciężar elementu: max 300 kg, Zanieczyszczenia (nie dające się oddzielić): do 1,0%
• OWK>10 – piece scrap with a thickness of min. 10 mm, max. dimension: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, piece weight: max. 300 kg, Impurities (not separable): up to 1.0%
• OW5 – shredded scrap, dimension max: 0.20 m, Impurities (not separable): up to 1.0%
• OW6 – carbon steel chips in bulk, dimension max: 0.15 m, Impurities (not separable): up to 2.0%
• OWS – special scrap with a thickness of min. 8 mm and CU content<0.1%, max dimension: 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.5m, impurities (not separable): up to 0.5%, single piece weight: up to 300 kg
• OWS1 – special scrap with a thickness < 8 mm and CU content<0.1%, dimension max: 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, Impurities (not separable): up to 0.5%
• OWP – Scrap cut loose on the press shear, max dimension: length ≤ 0.6 m, Impurities (not separable): up to 4.0%

Non-batch scrap – ON

Scrap which requires prior manual or mechanical processing to achieve the
necessary dimensions, form and mass, and the removal of metallic and non-metallic impurities, up to the limits allowed by the standard.

Non-batch scrap grades:

• ON1 – body scrap from SDP, dimension over: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, thickness up to 4 mm, impurities permissible: 8%
• ON2 – mixed scrap – collection, dimension above: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, thickness up to 4 mm, impurities permissible: 6%
• ON3 – light scrap – clean, size above: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, thickness: 0.7 ÷ 4 mm, impurities allowed up to 1%
• ON5 – light scrap – clean, size above: 1.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 m, thickness: 0.7 ÷ 4 mm, impurities allowed up to 1%
• ON5 – D – scrap in the form of wire, rope, mesh, thickness greater than 4mm, impurities up to 2% allowed
• ON6 – long rails, dimension over: 1 mb length, impurities permissible up to 1%
• ON8 – non-batch coarse scrap, thickness> 8 mm, impurities (not separable): up to 1%
